Michelle Obama may be the best thing about this victory.....

I don't know what it is about her, but when I see her and Barack together it just makes me smile.
The way she leaned into him during the entire interview, clutching his hand sometimes with both hands.
Her laugh.
The way she rubbed her leg while laughing and smiling at Kroft.
Everything about this woman makes me feel warm inside.
I'm willing to bet she's a great deal of fun with a couple of glasses of wine and her family around her.
And she's (don't kill me) sexy.
She may be the first woman in the White House that is downright sexy.
You know that she has Barack spinning every time she walks in a room.
He's got to be thinking, man I'm one lucky guy.
She exudes this calm, warm, give me a hug sexiness that is going to make us all happy.

And when she steps off of Air Force One?

They will go NUTS.

And I read somewhere where reporters used to joke that he was much more relaxed after being home for a night, or when Michelle would join him on the road. Yes, it was a bit salacious, but there is nothing wrong with love.

16. I think they are both terrific, and am excited about

the future for all of us. I feel, after so long, that we have a president who will actually care about us and do the utmost to get where we need to go.

When she said to look at her as the product of a good public school education, I knew this was a woman who lived our lives. And when she said Barack was the real deal, then I knew there was no question but that he was. I love her. I love that she is smart and accomplished. I love that she LOVES being a mother. And I love that she does it all while being hot damn sexy to boot! This is a role model for the "post feminist" woman, if we need to have one.

she has no problem wearing? We women with men of the same height, don't usually chose heels.

I understand that she is 5'11", and he is 6'1.5". That means that with 2.5 inch heels, they are about the same height. 2.5 inch heels are pretty standard.....so I imagine that unless she is wearying flats, they will always look approximately the same size.

As a woman myself, I have never and WILL never understand the fascination men have with dumb, pretty women who "know their place." I am absolutely baffled that men have no idea that their wives/fiances/girlfriends say so VERY much about the type of man that they are.

If you're a man in a position of wealth or power and you decide that your wife will be some mealy-mouthed, shrinking violet with no skills and/or education who's only talent and ability seem to be staying thin, what does that REALLY say about you??

A real man is not afraid of a woman with brains. A real man is not put off by a woman with education and genuine life experience. A real man recognizes the value of a woman who expects much from BOTH of them and helps him generate enough mental and spiritual energy to soar. There is a reason that Obama CONSTANTLY refers to Michelle as "his rock." There is no doubt in my mind that if he was married to some trivial female, that there is no way he'd be President right now.

And I say all of this as a hyper-educated woman who is also fine as all hell. :)
