Why even bother with Bush and Repukes for a bailout when it will be much easier in a few months. How about a little creative accounting?

They will have to hold out. It is not worth it to the UAW to have the bail out if the price is passing the Columbian Trade Agreement. Labor cannot afford another trade agreement. Bush has demanded too high a price.
