2. amen! I'm up the road quite a ways

but seeing this unfold has been painful to watch - I cannot imagine the fear they first had & then knowing their homes were destroyed - I'm glad people are making it out mostly unscathed - so many are moments away from disaster when they escaped.

4. Had to break

the airplane law to get the shot. They had already made the "turn everything in the world off while we land the plane!" announcement. I don't know what the punishment is but it must be very severe.

Out here, like in the Valley, okay? The air is so thick with smoke, I'm not allowed outside.

Lives in the San Fernando Valley and says the air is terrible. I told her if she had to evacuate she could always come North to SF and stay with me!

7. It is very bad over here. The Valley is a valley afterall.

The smoke just sits in the air with no where to go.

And we're surrounded by fires to north and east. The Orange County fires are too far away.

8. South Bay, SoCal, here....

...and it looks like I am getting it from EVERYWHERE! There is sooooo much ash ~~ my house, yard, porches and patios are covered.

9. If you're in the South Bay, you're getting Orange County and Riverside, too.

Sorry to hear. That much ash cannot be good.

Stay safe and hydrated and wear one of those masks if you go outside.
