Poll question: What If, . . . We Didn't Have Political Parties? Good Thing? Bad Thing? |
|
Candidates would have to state where they stand on the issues. In theory, it would make them more honest.
On the other hand, it could give pukes a whole new way to steal elections, and cause even more problems.

1. As in: parties would be illegal? That's patently unconstitutional. |

3. Well, If It Would Further Shred The Constitution, I Definitely Against It |

But I was just speculating what it might be like. I voted other in this poll, because I'm not sure.

5. Much as I do not want to believe that, my lying eyes tell me that more and more. |

Not that I am saying even the worst of our Dems compares to the serial mendacity of the Loyal Bushies, and yet still, contempt for those they rule is contempt for those they rule, isn't it?
I am trying to be patient. Hell, Obama hasn't even taken office yet.
Early signs on Lieberman and a few other things, not so good. (reminiscent of Nov. 2006 and the victory that was no victory, God I hope that's not the case)

but I can see with my eyes, and I don't ever want to bullshit myself. I'm too honest... it's why I will never make much money in my lifetime.
What their actions tell me and millions of others is that, being criminal DOES PAY!

7. Yep. Being a certain kind of criminal most certainly does pay. |

Sometimes I can see from their eyes at my foolish handicap of a conscience that has kept me from riches. (which I don't particularly desire, another clear sign of my manifest insanity)
There can be no question. Not all criminality pays, but a heckuva lot of it does, and MOST criminality performed in concert with power, pays and pays very well for a lifetime.

it's something these scumbags can't comprehend. If all humans did as they did, humans would have been extinct ages ago.

8. Like you, I'm trying to stay clear of it, the occasional outburst excluded, until |
|
the man actually gets into office. But also like you, I find the early indications disturbingly familiar and if what I fear comes to pass, we will have squandered our last chance.
Chicago is not the ideal environment in which to grow a politician you hope will bring the necessary changes to our nation. I'm a little:scared:
