Tin Foil Time:Mark Cuban/Dan Rather
It seems like the media is saying how terrible Cuban is. I'm just wondering if there is a connection that with all the Dan Rather lawsuit kicking up steam stuff right now. Interesting timing. Wonder if they're trying to discredit/hurt Dan. I haven't seen any CBS coverage (or anyone else's for that matter) on this, but I wonder how the Mark Cuban stuff is getting reported on CBS. God knows, CBS won't report anything the Rather's lawsuit.

1. Without even knowing the details
Mark Cuban was set up and this insider trading charge is obviously to discredit him.Its a tactic to take him out of the bidding process to buy the Chicago Cubs..Major League baseball does not want him to own the Cubs and it is Bud Selig's ties with wall street to charge him with this so the Cubs can be sold to his inner circle of friends...
Cuban is not this stupid..He would not do anything that would question
his credibility while the bidding process is progressing.

Selective enforcement or not, sounds like he's guilty as hell and if the govt. has the witnesses and emails he could be facing ten years inside at the maximum.

3. Another Rumor...Major League Baseball
Cuban's one of the few bidders left to take the Chicago Cubbies off Sam Zell's hands and the boys club of owners don't want him. Many fans do and polls here showed fans were very much in favor of selling the team to Cuban. As long as we're spreading some tin foil maybe this was a way to generate a lot of bad PR on the guy to prevent him from buying the team.

4. I thought the same when I heard this. This type of targeting is EXACTLY how the powerful work
to rid themselves of their thorns.

How many times do we the people have to let it happen before we rise up and CALL them on it? They got the rest of the media to turn around and blame Rather. They got even Dem party activists to turn around and blame Gore, then Kerry, then Dean. They control the media and form any perception they want if they want the target bad enough.

We are still just seeing the beginning of the smears of Rather and Cuban, I'm afraid.
