There are better places for Hillary.
I honestly don't believe that Hillary's best place is as Obama's Secretary of State. There are places she can be a lot more useful.

Start with where she is: the Senate. She could serve as Obama's point-man (pardon the sexist term) in the Senate, pushing through the legislation attached to his agenda.

Her fine legal acumen and fighting spirit would make her an amazing Attorney General.

And remember that at least one Supreme Court seat is due to open up this summer. I can't think of a place I'd rather have Hillary than there.

But Secretary of State? It's not a good fit. She's no diplomat. Put her where she can do the most.

1. I think she should keep herself above serving directly to a president.

2. I think she'd be a horrible SoS.
I think she makes a fine Senator.

3. The idea that somehow a position in the Executive Branch, even SoS, is superior to being a Senator
smacks of an Imperial Presidency.

Being a powerful legislator in a valid and vital Representative Democracy should be power enough for anyone.

When the Roman Senate became full of men seeking executive positions and fawning over the Chief Executive, the Roman Republic truly died......

4. She'd Do Great As SoS! She'd Be Good In The Other Positions As Well, But Also A Great SoS.
God I hope she gets it!

That normally takes a term to master. She is afraid of no tarmac. Bring on the foreign countries.

6. She'd make a terrific headmistress of a girl's reformatory.
