6. 4th Mississippi
The little "panhandle" of the state plus a few counties farther north. Gulfport, Biloxi, Bay St. Louis, Pass Christian, Long Beach, and Pascagoula (among others). Lots of casinos and empty lots left after Hurricane Katrina. Our congressman is the ultimate DINO, Gene Taylor, but at least he IS a Democrat!

21. HI01 - Neil Abercrombie (D-Awesome Public Speaker)
our agency had a table at the local NAACP's (no snickering, please) MLK dinner in 2004. Abercrombie was the keynote speaker, and he nearly brought the roof down! Inasmuch as this was early 2004, I thought to myself, "Get this guy on a plane to New Hampshire right now!"

He's made noises about running for governor in '10. Somebody has to; the present repuke LG is treating it as though it were his by right of accession, even sending out campaign solicitation materials to me! :eyes:

This seat is considered so safe for the GOP that the Dems didn't even mount a challenge this year. This district also has a number of white supremist/religious whacko endtimesrs, who I think are the reason the district goes red.

Frank Pallone-D

I was in the same room as him once, but did not get to ask him any questions (I was phone banking from his local office/democratic party hq).

I first called his office and raised a stink about offshore oil drilling. HOwever he voted against it.

We tried to replace him this year with Eric Roberson.

Unfortunately, we may have to wait until the next census in 2010, when we can redistrict Texas and put an end to Tom DeLay's gerrymandering.
