Well now, I guess the assholes were wrong after all. Here we've had Gay Marriage
in Connecticut for a couple of weeks, and my marriage to Mrs R has NOT been destroyed because of that!

Who'd have thunk it?

I'd like to hear the rightwinger / fundamentalist fuckwads' explanation of Why Gay Marriage Did Not In Fact Destroy Heterosexual Marriage, Even Though We Said It Would, but they've been strangely silent.

1. I've only just popped the question to Mr Rev
right after the judge opined but we're a 14-hour drive away. But we'll get up there and get wreckin' as quick as we can get a doggy-sitter for a long weekend :D

11. I love Connecticut
did some IT work for the U of Ct bookstore in Storrs. If you know the area around Storrs, it's a lot like where I live down here in NC (except here we have winter, up there you have the real thing: winteh!).

Great state, wonderful people. Can't wait to see it again.

18. I live in dread fear
someone's gonna repossess my membership card. I don't know chic names for colors beyond your basic ROYGBIV, I suck at decoration, can't sew, arrange flowers, or do a thing with hair. Hell, I haven't much hair, above the ears that is. Jeans, chambray shirts and boots, yeah, that's my whole wardrobe. But I can wear out a kitchen and produce a faaaaaaaabulous dinner, salad to 'zert. Can I stay in the club? CanIcanI?? I haven't even wrecked my first hetero marriage, yet. It'd be a shame to be bounced out so soon. My husbear would be so disappointed; goddess knows he's tried his best. :D

6. Redstone, your marriage is on the "destroy" list
They might finally get around to destroying yours sometime late in 2010.

12. Nah, afraid not. I guess The Great Gay Conspiracy To Ruin Heterosexual Marriage didn't
work out all that well in the end.

13. But I thought it was a temptation that no man could resist.
And your wife hasn't run off with another woman either? I'm astounded at the self control displayed by both of you. I thought that gay marriage would be so attractive that nobody could resist its temptations if it became available. Maybe it's just the very religious who are unable to resist.
