A few DU mis-spellings bother me: It's "moron" not "moran"

A few more quibbles:

When you want to say an issue could blow up, write, "It's huge," not "It's hugh."

Similarly, for emphasis, please don't mis-spell "I'm serious!" as "I'm series!"

Lastly I would ask everyone to be careful with the shift key when writing multiple exclamation points; it's "Wow!!!" and not "Wow !!1".

Sorry to be such a nebbish, but I think we look silly when we get the most basic spelling and punctuation wrong.

Maybe you've seen 'zOMG (blahblahblah)'. This doesn't actually mean anything by itself. But 'OMG' is short for 'Oh my god' and z is next to the shift key (and thus subject to being pressed accidentally when typing a hurry). So if someone says 'ZOMG that's awful!' they're gently satirizing people who rush to the keyboard in an emotional lather and just pound out their feeling without looking to see whether it's readable.

A similar example would be 'This is important!!!!eleven!', making fun of people who are pounding the exclamation mark key and getting '!!!11!'.

It's a net culture thing, indirectly commenting on people's tendency to type in a hurry. Just like shorthand schools used to recruit people with ads saying things like 'If u cn rd ths u cd get a gr8 new job.'
