The Rapture Ready nuts
Their board declares that the most--largest number--of posters was

"Most users ever online was 1,418, November 4th, 2008 at 11:53 PM."

Gee--I wonder why that would be. :eyes:

1. I love the reaction thread to Obama's win.
My favorite:

I reacted the exact same way when I saw the Fox headline. Uncontrollable sobbing. I ran to the toilet dry heaving. Then I prayed for us to go home. My husband is not yet saved. We need to pray!

5. Maybe the husband
is deliberately not getting saved, in hopes that the Rapture will come. I'm just sayin...

6. If he's smart, he's getting "saved" by a good divorce lawyer.
What a nut.

16. How could she be shocked? Obama went in with a 98% chance of winning
I was reading FR during election night, and I figured they be resigned to it, but instead they were are completely shocked and acting like it was the biggest upset ever.

17. If she were rational, she wouldn't be posting on Rapture Ready.

Most of them thought that The Jeez was going to pull it out for them somehow, once Holy Rollin' Sarah entered the race.

31. I started an account there
to have something to laugh at every now and then. If you've ever read their rules and other regulations, you could start a new comedy craze just reading them out loud.

22. In FoxLand it was always a "close race" and everything they highlighted
seemed to be a boost for McCain and a hindrance for Obama... Why wouldn't they be shocked..?

24. I think Freepers were well aware of the polls
But they convinced themselves the Bradley effect would take 10 points off Obama, or Obama supporters would get so confident they'd all stay home, and republicans would come out full force.

34. Dry heaves and uncontrollable sobbing? This person is not well.
Sure, I was upset in 2000 and 2004 about Bush "winning," but I never sobbed or puked about it.

15. No..No...
It's my next door neighbor's. According to him, he'll be in the first wave of the raptured. I asked him if I could have his big flatscreen TV when he's gone. He said, "Sure!" So, I'm golden.

32. what is creepier is the ones having lots of kids AND wanting the world to end
They believe the world is evil, contaminated, full of dreadful menaces like liberals, gays, environmentalists, scientists, astrologers, etc. plus the devil out to get them and their kids but they want to bring as many kids as possible into a place they regard as a hell on earth? {need head exploding emoticon here}

38. I was wondering about that myself
One of the fundies I knew wasn't satisfied with the one daughter she had--she went and had fertility treatments until she had twins. Fuck--when they aren't condemning the science of evolution, they're taking advantage of what science can do for them. Maggots.

30. Uh, that's been in the works since
the 1st century, CE. The first prophets in the 60 or so years after the events in the Bible are supposed to have happened were predicting that Armageddon would come in their lifetime. It's been nearly 2000 years now, you would think they would have gotten a clue.

Screw Free Repuke, that night was a barrel of laughs for me. I remember the OPs example quite well. Their tortured cries were like a sweet lullaby.

I waited all day to get on that site when the final call was made by the networks. It was freakin awesome.
