Lieberman played us like a violin
Lieberman, the nasty little turncoat played us for fools. He correctly figured that he could cast his lot in with McLame, with the promise of a high Cabinet position if Incontinent won. On the other hand, he figured (all too correctly) that his treason had no down side in case Grumpy lost his bid for the Presidency - all he had to do was keep his head down, kiss Harry Reid's ass, and no harm, no foul. I've heard all the rationalizations floating about today on why this is a smart move for us, 60 votes, etc. etc. BULLSHIT! First of all, it's highly unlikely that we will get to 59 without Lieberman. Chambliss is almost guaranteed to win with the holes in bedsheet crowd of knuckledraggers who vote Rethug in Georgia, so with Traitor Joe we only have 59, not the 'magical 60'. In addition, even assuming that we got to the 60 vote super majority with Loserman, what guarantees do we have that he would honor any commitment and vote with us? He certainly has opposed Obama's position openly and now, with reelection far in the future and with no possibility of any punishment being meted out now, he's free to spit in our faces as he has before. As much as I blame this pitiful clown, I blame our so-called Democratic leadership more. We kept promising that, once we got a Democratic Congress and a Democratic President we would grow a spine - well, here we are. Absolutely disgusting.

2. You believed the promises?
That was your first mistake, believing politicians, any politicians.

4. Who's "us"? He didn't play me. Maybe you should quit identifying with the ruling class?
Because that's what your "us" says you're doing.

5. I disagree completely on Lieberman
there are less public and much more effective ways to neuter him. Barack Obama and his team have perfected the whole concept of letting bad apples hang themselves. President elect Obama also knows Lieberman is a really insignificant spec of crap in the face of a whole world needing relief.
