13. If MSNBC doesn't give her a show ...
... if CNN wants to get some ratings, they will snag her and have her run up against "Stretch."

6. She had several long term timeslots during the day that never worked out
Edited on Tue Nov-18-08 09:08 PM by DJ13
I doubt she has the kind of star power to have another try.

8. Timeslots matter.
She needs a good production staff and a style all her own. I think she'll do fine.

16. I respectfully disagree about "star power."
She's miles above Morning Joe, Mika, David Gregory, Andrea Mitchell, Contessa Brewer, what's his name that Rachel replaced, and gone and quite forgotten Rita (Gargles-with-razors)Cosby, and Tucker (bowtie boy)Carlson.

She's almost, but not quite, as good as Keith or Rachel. She's unique and has her own unique brand of snark.

Just my two cents.

7. Soon, very soon.
When I tuned in to Rachel a couple of minutes late, I was absolutely ecstatic to see Alison back. (Janice does a super-duper happy dance!!! :woohoo::bounce::applause:).

PS I hope Rachel is okay. I do love her, and hope she's okay!

I don't think she's had a vacation since she started the show?

11. Keith took her off of Countdown and had come back early from his appendectomy
because her reporting on OJ as story #5 for 2 days in a row. He was pissed.

I find her adorable but but she gets cutsie for serious interviews.

20. When Olbermann is out with an appendectomy, his producers aren't.
They picked the stories for her to read/report.

Just because the executive producer takes a day off, doesn't mean his fill-in becomes executive producer.

The writers wrote the stories the producers approved.

If Olbermann was pissed at anyone, it should have been his producers.

23. He was probably pissed at them all right.
They saw their opportunity and took it. At least one of them has always put the pressure on him to do more frivolous stories to get bigger ratings.

15. A vast improvement over Arianna
I like Arianna as a guest, but she was really bad as the host.

Some folks just aren't cut out to read off teleprompters.
