Saw Hannity ranting about Holder tonight |
|
With that in mind, I totally support his appointment to AG.

3. Marc Rich pardon would be my guess... |
|
...a tenuous link for someone who was pardoned 8 years agot.

11. Hannity is an idiot but why would Obama |
|
Why would Obama pick Holder given his involvement with the very shameful Marc Rich pardon? I would think Rich would epitomize the very worst for progressives (illegally avoiding paying taxes) and contributing to the embarassment of Jimmy Carter by trading with Iran during the hostage crisis. How could folks not see the possibility of a quid pro quo (money to the Democratic party and Clinton's library for a pardon even if such a deal was never explicitly stated.
It is going to be an interesting confirmation hearing. I got to think that Obama could have found a better AG than this Clinton retread. I am not entirely sure why Obama wants to start his administration out with this kind of fight. Could he found a less visible job for Holder (such as White House counsel)? If things go well in that job and for Obama, then he could be elevated to the AG later (perhaps during the second administration).

7. That was in 1996-97...... |
|
you make it sound as though there is no possibility that he hasn't changed that view.
10 years can do that to some.
Things do change.

9. I really, really hope you are right. |

But even 10 years ago that kind of thinking is so messed up. That's what they used to say more than 50 years ago and he still thought that in the late nineties?

Fucking idiot in my book, if that is the case and it seems like it is. I mean, seriously, if this guy thinks that making pot a felony is going to stop crime, he is an idiot. No two ways about it. That's just mentality from the 1930's. Assinine.

that actually has to have a "sticky" on his own message board, asking people not to openly talk about assassinating Barack Obama. F-ing slimeball. http://forums.hannity.com/showthread.php?t=581411
