So, I had a hard day and I was looking forward to seeing that LieberRAT got booted.

There is NO excuse to let that rotten SOB keep his chairmanships. :grr:

1. You seriously expected to find a spine among "the leadership"?
There's not a full spine among the lot of 'em.

2. AND we won another Senate Seat and kicked a corrupt old man (Ted Stevens) out of the Senate...
...but is vengeance all you care about?

3. As Ned Lamont pointed out tonight, it isn't about vengeance.
It's about NOT REWARDING bad behavior. We've positively reinforced his behavior. Anyone with an ounce of sense knows this means we'll just get more of the same.

16. Well I am actively working against Lieberman in the next election.
Even though I know that is four years away; we will have to show those spineless weasels in Congress that we mean business and that they are next.

Seriously the Democratic Party had better start fearing the netroots and liberals in general. It's high time we stopped being taken for granted. I recommend a scorched-earth policy myself. No more voting for the lesser of the evils (which is all Obama is and all we ever seem to get).

4. I care about a rotten POS who called PE Obama a terrorist...
...and that said same POS sits as CHAIRMAN on a committee that has oversight powers on the presidency.

Next question?

19. We?
We who have called, faxed, e-mailed, protested, signed petitions, and all we get is the same old shit? Yes votes on war, patriot acts, spying, deregulation, incompetent appointees and wingnut judges.
We the volunteers who work hard to get these people in office just to find out they will do the exact opposite of what we want or might expect.

Some guy in Alaska won - he is a democrat - he will be one of them in no time. We don't factor into this club. It's one cushy job being a member of the US Senate - any other Joe would have been fired for doing what he did.

10. Judas = Stephanopolous? | Lieberman?
I think Steph might have just lost his DU name today, because when you compare their sins, Lieberman is the clear winner.

12. Here's another point of view
Edited on Wed Nov-19-08 12:35 AM by Boo Boo
First, let me say that if it was up to me we'd throw Lieberman to the wolves.

OK, here's another perspective:

Obama has said he won't let the Auto industry fail. The Republicans appear to view this situation as an opportunity to force, through bankruptcy, the dumping of pension benefits and the restructuring of union contracts. They are not going to approve a bill before Obama takes office. They view the bankruptcy of GM, and perhaps others, as a good thing.

We're going to need Lieberman's vote.

15. Why get up tight about it. Every one has his number now.
Face it Obama did the right thing. Joe is the dead skunk in both parties now. Hell he is on his own island he smells so bad. He has lost all his power just not the title and Obama wins the game. Obama stayed above the fuss. I am not sure if Joe knows what happened yet. He has been killed by kindness. Joe turned out to be a very 'little' man. Tell me just what taking this title away from Joe would have done for any one but make you happy. Every one knows what he did.Just think about this with out being mad and you may see my point Not getting revenge is some times better revenge in the long run.
