5. He noted Iran's ascendency in the region and the things that HC said

about them during the campaign. Ahmadinejab's need to make a mark of somesort vs. Iran's desire for a peaceful Iraq.

He said HC's management skills are dubious, especially when it comes to her position relative to other interests in an international setting. He said more or less "It has to be about her" when there really needs to be a more genuinely open collaborative approach to broad spectrums of issues and less focus on personalities and less limited to predetermined issues, suggesting that she has too much baggage. Ritter also said he has doubts about her ability to function within various levels of the diplomatic milieu, domestic and foreign.
