2. I need to fill my tank but I'm too sick to go out today
I should be OK tomorrow though.

Nice to have a respite in some part of the family budget. And the high gas prices really taught me to change some habits, so I'm spending much less than I did when gas prices were low before.

3. I drive a lot so this makes a huge difference to me.
I often drive 150 to 200 miles a day. I drive a Yaris and get about 34 mpg. It was costing me about $34 to fill up. Now it is about $15, I think.

I just love this. It is such a help. Almost pays for my completely outrageous health insurance premium ($385 a month for one person with a $1500 deductible).

7. Wow that is a big difference for you, then.
I only fill my tank every two to three weeks so the higher prices didn't hurt me as much. Still, things have gotten tight between gas and food. We're much, MUCH, more comfortable than most people and things are still hard sometimes. It makes me worry for people who aren't as fortunate as we are.

4. speculation
It very well could. Right now most speculators are driving prices down due to falling worldwide demand. It is funny that everyone hates speculators when the prices go up, but when they go down you never hear about them.

14. It's even lower in the small towns - probably .10 lower in Smithville.
I don't know why we are always cheaper.

8. Hey, I thought the dropping price of gas was a conspiracy to steal the election.
So why is it still going down? By the way, what ever happened to martial law? Well I guess we still have until 20 January to hope for that one because it is even more important to be right than to be left.

9. Forgive me if I'm not that excited.
With what I've lost from my retirement account, I could have free gas the rest of my life many times over. I want a real economic policy, not one that freaks out about high and low gas prices.

10. Wise words
And people who are struggling can't even count on this. They get to eat one week, but maybe not the next? It isn't enough.

12. Kansas usually has the lowest gas prices in the country. Gas tax low?
I will be driving through next week and usually fill up at Belle Plaine.
