I was looking at the Senate senority list. It's getting a major makeover with all the senators leaving after election wins, losses, and retirements. 4 out of the 12 most senior senators are going away (Stevens, Domenici, Biden, Warner). The new most senior republican??? Richard Lugar of IN.

2. Isn't Domenici gone too?
Someone on TV this AM said Orin Hatch was the longest serving now.

5. Yes, Domenici is gone. I missed that. It will be Lugar because his state was more populous.
8 Richard Lugar (R-IN) January 4, 1977 Indiana 11th in population (1970)
9 Orrin Hatch (R-UT) Utah 36th in population (1970)
