Poll question: Would You Buy A Car From A Bankrupt Automaker
Edited on Wed Nov-19-08 07:04 PM by Better Believe It
Feel free to list your own reasons on why you would rush out and buy a car from an automaker that has filed for bankruptcy.

Or why you wouldn't.

16. I only buy American cars myself
I'll never buy a foreign car again - I hated being a slave to their parts & service people.

13. I only own real oldies - one from a now bankrupt German automaker
I have a Saab model 96 (1973), a Citroen DS 21 (1969) and a DKW 3=6 (1957).
They're all fantastic cars.

DKW (Das Kleine Wunder) went out of business in the 1960s but parts are still available and the car is so simple, it's easy to work on.

17. That's besides the point
No one is forcing you to buy a car from any automaker. And most people can't afford to buy a car from any domestic or foreign auto maker right now.

21. We didn't buy the planes, we just bought a ticket to fly in it!
I can't believe some people here don't understand the difference.

Will you be buying a ticket to drive a car for a few hours during Chapter 11?

They won't survive long after Chapter 11. No one will buy cars from a bankrupt automaker.
