Robert Nardelli ran Home Depot into the ground..... |
|
As a reward for his failure.. he now runs Chrysler. Now, he flys into Washington in a private jet and wants a handout? Huh?

3. THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I AM AGAINST THE BAILOUT |
|
The big 3 don't care about America, they don't care about the company, all they care about is lining their own pockets.
Tell ya what - I'll be 100% for the bailout if we:
- Fire everyone on the X-level without golden parachutes - Get stock in exchange for the bailout money

8. Why did they hire him in the first place? |
|
The guy was driven out of his last executive position and he had no experience with the auto industry.

9. "They"? He was hired by Cerberus Capital, a private company. Not by the UAW. |
|
Not by Michiganders. Not by "Detroit".

7. There is a handful (collectively a few thousand) of this type: they gravitate |
|
(or levitate) from one industry to another by virtue of a resume' that has all the proper entries. They don't even have to (or often do not) have any expertise in the industry they're leaving or entering...they do know how to manipulate imaginary money (and real people) and end up running significant and major companies. I've worked with a lot of these types (all but one in my experience have been men but nowadays the distaff side has made inroads to the discipline), they always reminded me of how Catholic priests dispense marital advice as if they had some authority to do it. The thing is, almost nobody will dare to challenge their pronouncements...we have become a nation of yes-men and sheep who will take to heart any kind of goofy shit if it comes from somebody with real or percieved authority.
