and give them to people who need one but can't afford them. Giving money to the auto industry does nothing to increase demand of their products, which they claim is the problem. everyone benefits.

The problem is that car can be resold to others for a much cheaper price. Get a new government car, sell it, and buy a used car instead. Free money
