I tend to ignore the "other" one. Sessions (Retarded)

Dear Senator Shelby,

You may want to reconsider your opposition to the auto
industry loan package. A large percentage of your
constituents are NASCAR fans and would be none to
happy if all the cars on the track are Toyotas.

I share your outrage at the Big Three CEOs flying to
the Senate hearings in luxury jets.

But, please, sir, consider the millions of American jobs
at stake. Alabamians employed by Mercedes, Hyundai
and Honda will be fine. Consider, though, that thousands
of Alabamians are employed by suppliers to the Big
Three. And what about my local Pontiac dealer, from
whom we purchased a Grand Prix in 2006.

Now is not the time for political bickering. It's time to
support American manfacturing and the workers who
make it productive.

My name
My town, AL 35XXX

Actually, contrary to common wisdom, Sen Shelby isn't so bad.
Sessions, OTOH, :puke:

3. Can't Sessions' (R) be for something else like Reactionary?
People with cognitive disabilities view the "R-word" as an offensive slur akin to the N-word.

Come to think of it, there are probably some self-advocates down there who would make better Senators than Sessions.

4. My apologies
Got caught up in the moment. Plus, I'll admit, I've had a couple.

Um, I'm at my home PC, NOT behind the wheel.

You got THAT right!

5. Why Waste Money
Giving it to a dying industry. Failures in business decisions followed by a rigid business plan that can't respond to changes in the market place with unions unwilling to give an inch. Bankruptcy will force needed changes in management as well as union agreements to the benefit of the industry.

6. Classic capitalist economics supports your position
Unfortunately, under current US economic policy, if the Big Three go down, so will
the entire economy. From what I've read, I would make the 1930's look like prosperity.
Google Paul Krugman.
