He's a Bush admininistration insider, a great Bush Sr. admirer, and a two time Bush Jr voter. Yet, he has came to understand the gross ineptitude and immorality that defines the administration of George W. Bush. It's easy for a lefty to fault the Bushies, but righties who come forward against Bush, in defense of their country, deserve special praise.

1. he's wrong,it's not ineptitude if they're doing it on purpose.

if all your "mistakes" make lots of money for all your pals then how is it a mistake? :shrug:

2. There's much truth to that but not entirely

There is no doubt that gross incompetence played a role as well. Take Iraq. Yes, a lot of Bush Cheney pals made a lot of money off Iraq (no-bid contracts to Halliburton, etc), but I think the lack of planning for a post invasion Iraq was the result of sheer incompetence more than anything else. Though as I type this, I realize that even that situation, with the insurgency and security needs and more equipment, presented more opportunities for the Bushies to reward their pals. Still, are they THAT evil, that they would actully plan a poor occupation to prolong instability to make money for their corporate friends. I can't believe that they would actually sink that low.
