wouldn't hillary be more true to her beliefs if she stayed in the senate.... |
|
...at least long enough to work with obama in passing a healthcare plan before taking a cabinet position in the obama admin?
this is not a hillary bashing thread, in fact i think she'd be a great SoS. it just seems that healthcare has been her issue for so long and if we are to believe it's her most important goal, shouldn't she stay in a place where she can get that done before moving into a position that might help her with future presidential aspirations?
it's tough being a senator and getting elected president. so, i think if she wants to run for president in 2016 she should move into another position. but, i'd like to see her tackle this healthcare thing first.

2. i don't think that's true |

certainly she wants to be president. but i think she really wants to fix healthcare. with majorities in the senate and house and a dem pres, she could make it happen. why not get that done before moving on?

4. Just like every other senator and presidential candidate... |
|
but I think the poster was being sarcastic.
too bad so many truly feel this way. "She's so arrogant and ambitious!!!" As if Biden, Obama, etc. are not...

3. There is pressure to get her out because RFK jr. wants her/his dad's senate seat.... |
|
I, personally, would prefer her as majority leader.

5. yeah, i think she'd make a great majority leader |
|
she's gonna do great in whatever position she ends up choosing. personally, i'd like to see her fix healthcare before she does anything else. so do a lot of uninsured and underinsured people.
she's got eight years (hopefully) to prepare for another run, so there's plenty of time to make her mark elsewhere. it's probably a good idea to get out of the senate anyway if she's going to run for president again.....but let's get healthcare first.
