Make no mistake folks, this is called class warfare. The War has been accelerated by the refusal of the bailout for the worker, and the passing of the bailout for the Bank.
Put your stipulation on the loan the big three need, make them build greener cars. Remember, Chrysler paid their loan back, AIG never will and most of that money which was handed out, you will not know where it has gone.

1. Did you really think Republicans would save unions?
I wouldn't say it was class warfare, more like the typical Republican war against organizing.

Also, this would help states that vote Democratic and from our experience with Katrina, if your state votes Dem, you can't expect much from Bush.

3. Well, the repubs (at least in House) didn't vote to save the financial industry.
It was the Democrats that carried that vote. Repubs 91-108 against, Democrats 172-63 for. In the Senate the repubs voted for it, but not to the extent that the Democrats did.

At least repubs can make a case that they were against both bailouts (even if they have an ulterior motive of killing the domestic auto industry and union). Our side, by contrast, voted overwhelmingly (3-1 in the House and 5-1 in the Senate) in favor of the financial bailout, but now appears to be reluctant to use their majority status to force a vote on an auto industry bailout.

7. It's not just the Republicans, you don't think the three CEO's flew in three different jets
to the hearings on accident?

2. I was for the bailout as they sold it to us (furious over the implementation)
I should have known they would do the bait and switch.

I am even more for the car bailouts.

We need MORE UNIONS- not more union busting.

6. Senators commented to the CEO's about using their private jets
to come to Washington..vs a commercial flight.....And I agree it didn't look good..But how many Senators and Congressman will fly home using private planes when this session ends...
It's all about breaking the UAW union...

4. Yesterday's topic seemed to be about corporate jets. Funny, that never came up with AIG.
AIG must have travelled to DC on Greyhounds.

5. On NPR this morning, someone was expressing puzzlement
over the fact that since the passing of the bailout measure, the big banks had done some loaning to a few smaller banks, but somehow, this money has yet to trickle down to consumers!

SURPRISE, SURPRISE!!!

10. On Charlie Rose last night, David Cole said that 90% of new car sales require a loan and the banks
... are NOT making car loans at this time.
