Poll question: So When Does The Media Say WE are In Depression

The MSM is doing a great job skirting around calling what we are in what it is....so when do we call the situation we are in now what it is....A DEPRESSION.

7. Took with words right out of my mouth!
When they start feeling the pinch, then we'll start hearing about what a horrible condition the economy is in.

4. Other. When Two of the three American auto makers goes down. Then we will actually experience
first hand the devastating consequences and ripple effects through out our economy.

6. Other
Unemployment needs to go up by a factor of four or five - at least 25%, probably 30%.

Banks that go down take their depositors money with them - hundreds of banks at a time, billions of dollars at a time.

GNP drops by 1/3 or more.

The federal government completely ignores the problem and actually makes decisions to exacerbate the problem.

Etc., etc.

Yes, we're in a recession, a really bad recession, but we're still a ways away from the reality of a depression. Go find someone who lived through the last one and ask them what it was like.
