This is what I know, and this is what I don't know about GM
I know they did have great paying "factory" jobs.. and good pensions and benefits.. this was all happening when the company was top of the world.

If I understand correctly, new hires get no "defined" pension benefits (I think it is 401 K's)..new hires start between 13 and 15 dollars and hour. (try buying a house on that folks and support a family)

I drive a 2004 Vibe that gets 32 mpg in town, and I have gotten as much as 40mpg on the road with a light load and stiff tail wind. By the way, the seats in that Vibe are the best of the best.. most comfortable..

So now if I understand correctly the unions have made some major major concessions.. seems to me GM is producing a quality car that is fuel efficient.. What do they need to do now? Address management, and how they market cars?
