Why is Pat Buchanan on MSNBC all the time?
Geez...I turned on MSNBC before I went to work this morning and Buchanan was ranting and raving on Morning Joe.

Now I just returned home, turned on the TV which was still on MSNBC and heard him ranting and raving again, this time on Hardball.

I can't stand his annoying high pitched voice and sure as hell don't like his opinions. Can't MSNBC find ANYONE else?? At the very least can't they limit him to ONE show per day??!! :eyes:

I just shut it off.

23. Balance
Yes The farther one leans, the further one must go to the other side to achieve balance.

A schlamiel is the guy carrying a tray of food in a cafeteria.

A schlamazel is the guy who trips him.

And a schmegegie is the guy upon whom the food lands.

11. He's the straight man for all the 'personalities'
Pat has a job and does it well. It is his job to represent a certain point of view. Watch him on with Maddow to see it in its starkest. He says what he says and lets her do a two minute riff. He doesn't interrupt, and doesn't rebut unless asked.

This is his job. he does it well.

I will hate Bob Novak until he dies. I actually kinda like old Pat.

13. My ears! My ears!
Pat sounds like he's about to blow out his larynx every time he opens his pie hole. His vocal chords must be shredded from all the faux outrage he spouts every day and night. Doesn't the man ever sleep? It's not like his ideas are so fresh and inspiring that MSNBC just has to have him all day long. He's a tired old hack who adds nothing enlightening to any political discussion. Take a break Pat. Your time is past. Time to hang it up and enjoy the Georgetown cocktail circuit full time.

19. Pitchfork Pat Always Amuses
I used to despise this old coot in the 80's when I called Crossfire "Shut up, Buchanan". These days I find him amusing...the in-house crumeudgeon still not quite sure which century he's in. The fun of watching him these days is he's seen his beloved ideology turned inside out and perverted so much that you can never tell how he's gonna come out on an issue. He's not quite a social conservvative nor is he a neo con nor full fiscal conservative...he drifts in and around. After all these years, I kinda look on him like Rachel...the crazy old uncle who sits in the corner and you never quite know what's gonna come out, but you know whatever it is, its gonna piss somebody off.

22. His time is passed. Please retire him AND his sister.
I am tired of yelling back at them from my living room. Please please give me some well spoken, considerate and brilliant persons who will contribute to new solutions. We've been waiting and waiting for new blood and ideas to override these self important blowhards.

Let's get on with it.

And while I'm ranting. Happy that Mr. Obama is our new president for AMERICA. May we consider that he is more than a black man? This is about America and Planet Earth and I'm weary of the celebrity of it all. We have work to do and finally have a leader who will lead us to our hoped for future. Black, white, irish, gay, straight... We are the melting pot and I wish to elevate the discourse.

25. He's not a "Sean Hannity" type. He's civil and intelligent. Check out this Gore Vidal interview:
I've listened to him off and on since his radio days in DC, and I have to say in his defense that he does let others talk and actually responds to what they say. He's a good listener and uses his words, unlike some of the more belligerent, bullying, double-talking a-holes out there.

27. What gets me is that shows up at any show at any time....
It's like he has a coffin on the set where he resides,
and they prop him up for Morning Joe, and then later in
the morning for a news bloodlet, and then at Andrea Mitchell's
bore-fest, and then he shows up on Hardball, and David Gregory's
yawn, and then on RAchel (I think he likes her.. go figure)...

The man is a vampire, and lives off the blood of progressives,
and lurks off the set when he's not spouting and raving his
medieval beliefs.
