Another first: I agreed with Buchanan today. He was arguing with a Heritage Foundation |
|
guy about the car industry, and of course the Heritage Foundation guy wants the auto industry to collapse (in translation, no jobs for people in unions getting a decent salary). Buchanan went into a rage and ended up asking the guy what he had produced in his entire life, sitting in that Foundation just spouting theories that hurt working people! I couldn't believe it! Matthews stopped Buchanan, but catch it when it repeats at 7 p.m. ET (I think).

1. The first time that I agreed with Buchanan (about the war,) I went |
|
into a depression for two weeks. I thought that I was losing it. Then someone on DU said a broken clock was right twice a day.

2. Buchanan ran as a populist. That doesn't surprise me. Nixon would have bailed them out. |

And he has the nerve to talk about theories that hurt working people?

Once could only hope the Republicans do come back from Neocon psychos and their theocratic enablers.
It'll take a while for me to like him even if he keeps it up.

Unless he meant that by "god's gift" the person who would show them just how far they've gone to the right and that they would willingly pick not only a completely inexperienced person but a complete moron to boot that it might force them back to reality.
He could have but I doubt it.

10. Yeah, Pat's Always Had A Nasty Streak Of Morality |

If your recall, in 2000 he was even ready to hand over his Palm Beach "votes" to Gore (until he was "gotten to" about 7 hours later).
But it never really amounts to anything.

13. That guy, James Gattuso, is a glorified lobbyist - funded by Corporatists. |
|
Edited on Thu Nov-20-08 07:18 PM by Waiting For Everyman
The Heritage Foundation (a "think tank") is nothing but paid advocates for the Corporatist position. How is that any different from a lobbyist, except they're presumed to be "experts" with academic standing? They're paid to do dishonest "research" to fudge the facts, which then become talking points to cow the public.
Buchanan started going into that, but got cut off.
