Yep, let's just throw money good over bad at an industry that has no clue on how to be profitable in a competitive world and is using this chance to bust out those evil, nasty unions.

The auto industry's real mess is tied into the credit mess...people can't buy cars cause they can't get loans and then why would they want one that will cost them a fortune in gas and maintenance? The powers in Detroit had 30 years to create a new generation of vehicles that weren't so wedded to the price of gas and fought both change and the unions. So now it's up to those who didn't create this mess to take the blame and those who made it to be shoveled billions to fix it?
