What used to be your guilty TV pleasure, and what is it now?
I've maintained my 'girls' on ABC Sunday nights, those whacky housewives, and brothers and sisters. But I'm ready to maybe skip away from politics to find something new.

Funny, I'm listening to Jack Bauer, and dropped him Now? I don't know.
And then there's the NFL.

Sheriff Buck was the greatest! I loved that show.

61. I'm in Toronto ...
... and I'd looked for the series on DVD for years, but it wasn't available.

Then I found a copy about a year ago, by sheer serendipity when I was looking for something else. It was the only copy in the video store.

If you Google "American Gothic", there are several websites devoted to the series. You can probably find the info for ordering a copy on-line.

The DVD set includes all episodes - PLUS four episodes that never aired because the show was canceled before it was concluded.

"The name is Lucas Buck - that's Buck with a B."

37. The other odd channel with a lot of history stuff is the Military Channel.
Obviously the more current stuff tends to be either jingoistic nonsense or wank material for people who are a little too into fighter planes or carriers, but they run some really good stuff on ancient Rome especially. They also do some shows where people reproduce ancient siege engines and stuff, which I find fascinating, though the quality of those shows can be a bit spotty from what I've seen.

Occasionally, CSI NY, Law and Order and Criminal Minds. When/if the new season of Medium starts, I imagine I'll watch still. ;)

Now, my kids and I have been watching Chuck, and my teenager loves the 'girls' on ABC Sunday nights, those whacky housewives, and brothers and sisters, so I watch, too, on occasion.

11. M*A*S*H*
Mine was and still is M*A*S*H*. My favorite episodes were the ones from about the time Potter and Hunnicut arrived until Radar left. I never really cared so much for the early episodes even though there were some gems in there. I think the cracks were starting to show after Radar left, so it's good they decided to go out while riding high rather than flushing the whole thing down the toilet like some other shows (...like ER) have done.

31. If you wanna go way back......
I never missed Howdy Doody and The World of Mister Sweeney in 1954. Mom & Dad were big on I Love Lucy, Jackie Gleason Hour, and Your Hit Parade. Now my Mom & Dad watch reruns of The Waltons. Dad likes any old western from the 30s & 40s (Tom Mix, Johnny Mack Brown, anything with Walter Brennan, Andy Devine, or Smiley Burnett in it.

Oh BTW I was fascinated by Tammy Faye's eye lashes. And I always thought she was a true person in a sea of TV fakes.

48. X-Files. I miss Mulder and Scully. For awhile I could get X-Files 5 nights a week.
Once I got over the fact that Fox Mulder was a paranoid troll I really got into the series, which was heavily into re-runs by the time I discovered it. It had very intelligent and witty writers, and after awhile you could cut the sexual tension with a knife, which in many ways was better than them hopping in bed.

Nothing at all comes up to X-Files.

Antiques Roadshow is a lot of fun (someone else mentioned that).

It's on Lifetime, and I stumbled onto it some time ago.

It's wonderfully written and acted, and the family dynamic is charming, as are the actors who make up the family.

I ended up renting all the DVDs, to get the whole story from the first show.

I love me some Medium!!

53. I like the VH1 reality shows.
I like all reality shows. Oddly enough, I can watch the same episode over and over and OVER AND OVER again. I have no idea why. I love Bravo, because it has all-day marathons of their shows, even though I am getting a little tired of their shows centered around rich people.

But yeah, the trashy VH1 reality shows, I LOVE THEM. They are so stupid. Scream Queens. Real Chance of Love. Even the Pickup Artist. I love 'em!
