Subject: Fwd: Fw: It's already started ...

Pastor Removal from Television
Removal of Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer, Charles Stanley, David Jeremiah and other pastors from the airwaves.

An organization has been granted a Federal Hearing on the same subject by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in Washington , D.C. Their petition, Number 2493, would ultimately pave the way to stop the reading of the gospel of our Lord and Savior, on the airwaves of America . They got 287,000 signatures to back their stand! If this attempt is successful, all Sunday worship services being broadcast on the radio or by television will be stopped. This group is also campaigning to remove all Christmas programs and Christmas carols from public schools! You as a Christian can help!

We are praying for at least 1 million signatures. This would defeat their effort and show that there are many Christians alive, well and concerned about our country. As Christians, we must unite on this.

Please don't take this lightly. We ignored one lady once and lost prayer in our schools and in offices across the nation. Please stand up for your religious freedom and let your voice be heard. Together we can make a difference in our country while creating an opportunity for the lost to know the Lord.

Please, if you don't wish to participate, return this email to whoever sent it to you so they can at least keep this email going or forward it to some one you know who will wish to participate. Dr. Dobson is going on CNBC to urge every Christian to get involved. I hope you will sign and forward to all your family and friends. Please press forward, CLEAN UP THE MESSAGE, and forward this to everyone you think should read this.

Now, please sign your name at the bottom (you can only add yo ur name after you have pressed 'Forward' or you have copied and pasted the text).

Don't delete any other names, just go to the next number and type your
name.

Please do not sign jointly, such as Mr. & Mrs., each person should sign
his/her own name. Please defeat this organization and keep the light of our freedom of religion.

When you get to 1000 please e-mail back to: Lisa Norman emai l address is:
electricyello@hotmail.com

For those of you who don't know how to add your name - hit forward first and then just add your name at the bottom and then forward it on to your friends. So many people do not know this and are forwarding it without their names added.

Not a word said, but actions speak very loud

____________________________________________

I excluded the names of the signers of this petition (they're up to 941), but please feel free to contact the woman who originated the email at the address above. We have to start fighting back.

1. Great. Then, as soon as that's done, we'll outlaw singing, dancing, and buying on TV.
These people are getting marginalized again, like they were for decades, and they're not happy about it.

It's gonna get wierd.

I told them I was agnostic and asked where all my television programs are. That did make me feel better.

4. How can they call themselves Christian? Where's the money request?
Gotta ask for money if you're christian. That's what I learned growing up Catholic.

12. I heard that petition was from 1972, and was rejected.
As always, fundies are all in an uproar over nothing. So ignorant, so gullible.

6. But what if the majority votes that way?
I mean, after Prop H8 passed, we were told that individual rights were nothing if the majority deemed it so. So if a majority of folks vote to remove these charlatans from the public airwaves, who really cares if a few disgruntled people who don't understand the concept of democracy are upset? Deal with it, Lisa Norman!

8. If only religion would disappear from the airwaves
And from everywhere else. Not by government decree but because of a real Great Awakening.

Ah, well. It's a nice dream.

10. A couple of questions as to "why"
Edited on Fri Nov-21-08 10:02 AM by GrpCaptMandrake
1) Whose name is specifically mentioned as "leading" this effort?
2) Who is "going on CNBC?"
3) Who nearly crippled his organization pushing Prop H8?
4) Whose organization is down about a million a month in revenues from last year?
5) Whose organization just announced a 20% cut in its work force?

HINT: all questions have the same answer, namely JAMES DOBSON.

This kind of tactic makes "faith" easy for the hypocritical and gullible. ("Hey, Marvalene! C'mere an' forward this hyere e-male n' Jesus'll be happy with us. Then we can go out drankin' n' daintzin' n' I kin git a blow job from one o' thim drag kweens in the minz room Sat'dy Nite!")

There's not a nickel's worth of difference between THIS conduct and the selling of "indulgences" in the Middle Ages.

13. Listen up fundies: He's not OUR lord and saviour. He's YOUR lord and saviour.
Besides, you're stupid. Cable companies are regulated the way broadcast is, and cable is where all the church shows she's talking about reside. Speaking of which, since she's so upset...how come I have to PAY my cable company good money to have a dozen channels taken up religious snake-oil salesmen? I can't even opt out of 'em. They should be PAID FOR by the people who want to watch them, just like HBO and Showtime.

15. That sounds like an argument for "a la carte" broadcasting
Letting the whims of the marketplace dictate what gets broadcast puts all minority-interest cable channels at risk. Careful where you go with that argument.
