Here's an interesting question, sure to be hotly debated.
Will the U.S. under the leadership of its first black president, attend the U.N. Conference on Racism scheduled for April in Geneva?

This is a follow-up to the Durban conference held 7 years ago. A controversial meeting, to say the least.

Israel and Canada have already said they will not attend. England, the Netherlands and France are threatening not to attend if it looks to repeat Durban.

My guess is that Obama will instruct the U.S. not to participate. In light of Obama being black, this becomes a very interesting situation.

1. The Conference turned into a huge, anti-Israel scrum.
We won't touch it with a ten foot pole unless we're promised it won't devolve into that again.

2. Yeah Durban was a fucking mess
It was all Israel all the time and did a great disservice to human rights abuses in other countries, particularly the ones most intent on focusing only on Israel.

And I don't see Obama sending a delegation to Geneva the way things stand now.

3. It was a shame, really, that it got off track so.
There is some serious shit going on based on race and nationality, in Africa especially.
