Since *resident Bush has no desire to lead this nation during the last
two months of his term, wouldn't it make sense for him to tender the resignation of Dick Cheney. He could then appoint Barack Obama as Vice President, and then submit his own resignation, thus allowing President-Elect Barack Obama to serve out the rest of Bush's term. This could probably be accomplished in a matter of days. At least then we would have a President who could take over the leadership of our country.

Yeah, I know it will never happen.

1. Thoughtful of you, though.
But Bush is very busy leading the country right off a cliff. He, of course, leads from the rear.

2. He's not leading the cart, though, even from the rear. He just seems
to be along for the ride as the country goes right off a cliff.
