Lets play DOW lotto: I predict today's close at 7395
The winner wins a cheer from the losers. That's all we can afford! And we may as well make a game of it. If ya can't laugh, all ya do is cry.

I say that we close today at 7395.

What do you think? Just post your number in your reply's title.

18. Okay ..... no time limit was put on when to guess. You win.
I don't think guessing late matters. This stupid market moves a hundreds points in a minute. It is no better than shooting craps.

19. It closed up today because the market likes certainty. It closed down yesterday

because the market doesn't like uncertainty.

The market is overrun (and has been for some months) by irrational behavior.

Yes, we have a financial crisis. The Republicans created the crisis but didn't believe
the Democrats could fix their mess. They are now discovering that Obama is not the anti-capitalist
that the Republican demagogues made him out to be.

I think we will continue to see volatility, but I believe the trend is going to be up. Once the Republicans recognize (as some major names did who voted for Obama)that Obama is not ready
to change our economic system.

I do not believe we are out of the woods, but I've lived through a few cycles. I graduated
with my master's degree in 1975: unemployment in California (where I was) was 9.5% I was the last
person in my small class to get a job.

There will be buying opportunities here: I'm with Warren Buffet on that.
