What Are D Chances That Pols Plucked For Obama's Cabinet Will Be Replaced By Ds?
I think Obama is appointing great people, but is there the possibility that we could end up losing a Senate seat or a Governor position through these appointments? I know Hillary's seat is safe as she's from NY and they have a D governor (and the state votes D). But what about Richardson's governorship of NM?

Anybody done the math on these?

1. If Napolitano goes for SecHome
the poor people of AZ are SCREWED (that would include me right now). The person who takes over would be the Secretary of State, one Jan Brewer, a complete and total psycho fundie whackjob. And, of course, the state legislature is Red Republican. Count on her to try to do as much as she can to stop all abortions and go after gays here (banning them from getting married is just the first step).

3. I believe that Richardson is not serving as governor right now.

Never mind. I'm wrong. He stepped down from something and I thought it was governor, but apparently not.
