She's not going to run for president again. Not ever.

She has attained significant success simply being elected and reelected NY junior Senator. She has been respected and effective in that job. But she's kinda dead-ended. She lacks seniority and it is tough to get any serious seniority at her age. Too many are about her age and far more senior than she.

The Secretary of State is no crappy little job. It is significant and can be historical. Nobel Prizes have come from that job. Not saying she'll get one, but I am saying the job is truly meaningful. And with her taking it, it will be culmination of her career.

I bet she knows all this.

I bet she's figured that this will be the pinnacle for her.

And I bet she wants the job.

For its own sake.

1. I agree with you.

A Senator is 1 of 100. A SOS is far more influential.

I mean, fer Chrissakes the woman is in her 60's, roughly my age. Time for her to put a capstone on her career and think about retiring in 4 years to write her memoirs.

3. I was actually countering all the pure crap bullshit of how "The Clintons" will ......
..... use this seat as a way to further "Their Agenda". Or use it to get her into the White House. Or whatever other made up, bullshit, boogeyman-under-the-bed plots fertile minds can conjure up in their blind hatred of "The Clintons".

Sometimes a duck really is just a duck.

4. Of course she wants it.
This is why she trashed Obama even when her chances of winning were nil. She wanted to say she got all those votes and create a following strong enough to clobber Obama over the head with.

If she can't be President she will get her due through hook or by crook.

Can't let her be humiliated you know.

5. Obama didn't have to give this to her.
I think you're overthinking this.

6. If she does what is possible
and I'm not saying it would be easy for anybody to make real global change - but if she does it, then she could very well run for President in 8 years. 69 isn't old for everybody.

Especially for those of us (sigh) who have officially entered our 60's.

(Baby boomers rule!)

But I still remain bothered, among other things, by her out and out lie about landing under fire in Kosovo.

8. There's a lot to be bothered by
A LOT -- but I'm willing to give her a chance. She has just got to take real charge and send these scoundrels that she surrounds herself with - PACKING. Maybe Obama and Biden to back her up will help. That's what I'm hoping anyway. There's an outside chance and I'm going to hope for it because the alternative is more chaos.

10. If that happened, I'd be thrilled.
I think she'd be great as a Supreme.
