1. A lot and the list of CEO abuses of health money goes way back decades.
I remember reading of a HMO whose hospital ER had turned away a homeless man who died on the front lawn because he wasn't a member, but the CEO of that company had a private jet, yacht, a salary more than the average CEO of a large corporation and many other perks like a private chef on the job and other such luxuries. I wish I could remember who it was. It's too far back to find in google archives.

to cover. To say nothing of the imported yard maintenance crews. Those people ain't cheap.:sarcasm:

3. The last 8 years
Has been nothing more than the rich getting richer while the number of poor and unemployed skyrocketed. Bush's "BASE" of the have mores have gotten more and more and more every years Bush has been in office. From the drug companies, health care companies, oil companies, financial companies, and most big corporations, it's been a rape of the countries wealth. It all fits in with daddy Bush's "NEW WORLD ORDER" where the rich control the world and those without the money, well who cares about them anyway!

The whole plan was to get everything the world needs into the hands of a few. The media was the first on the agenda, control them you control the information getting out. Then came energy. Only a few major oil companies now control the fuel we need to commute with. Drugs are controlled by a few big companies, and now it looks like the banking industry and the financial markets will also be in the hands of a select few. They didn't plan on Obama coming alone, and we can only hope that he will be able to make some drastic changes before the "NEW WORLD ORDER" can take control of the entire earth. We may have gotten a break since Jr. has screwed thing up so bad a republican could not get elected this year to continue the agenda. The best thing is that the republicans are in a sinking ship, and the majority of this country are fed up with what has happened the last 8 years. Democrats have a shot at showing the country what needs to be done to keep us from sinking into another third world country with a two class system. If they play their cards right, we may still be able to come out of this down the road, but it won't be easy. What Bush has done to this country, and to the world, will take years to fix, but it can be done. I have hope now that we have a new president who has the people behind him. A president that can rebuild this country, and create jobs instead of destroying jobs. The world is watching, so lets hope that congress can back Obama and make things better not only in this country, but around the world!

5. This is why I simply cannot support any health care plan that includes health insurance companies
They are part of the problem. Not part of the solution.

6. Oh Goody...
I'm so glad they denied two months of my breathing machine so that this Ass wipe can keep his family in comfort until the End Times...

The only true path to National Health Care that makes sense is to get rid of the insurance aspect of the process and cut out the profit margin.

Let medical research still operate in the world of profit to keep stimulating that area, but get the fucking leaches who suck health care from people who need it just so they can live in gated communities...

Think of the savings if there was only one place to process claims, one type of insurance for health providers to deal with and no incompetent CEO's siphoning off money from people who need care...

8. My dear WCGreen
I can't even begin to tell you how angry I am that you personally were denied 2 months of a breathing machine (respirator?) while this type of chicanery was going on to your personal detriment.

Maybe you can document this on youtube and we can start making a record of the denials while this insane executive compensaton was going on.

7. United Healthcare spells nightmare for clients
I suffered a major trauma in April 07 and had UHC coverage.A year and a half later I am still trying to collect from the insurer for some very basic claims including over three thousand dollars in nutrition I had to pay out of pocket because a supervisor at the insurer used the wrong coverage plan to claim that they were not liable. I had to put liquid food through a stomach tube for over a year. I have probably made over fifty calls to UHC over various unpaid claims over the past year and Obama's description of his mother arguing with the insurance company as she died of cancer resonates with me. One interesting thing was that they paid for me to have a very expensive eye repair procedure at the Boston Foundstion for Sight, I have $7K contact lenses. Three weeks after the procedure I got a note from the foundation that UHC had just decided to stop covering procedures such as mine. I find the hospitals sending me bills all the time that they will not identify exactly what for. They will say "that was for a procedure on 8/11" and not break it down. Then the insurance company will say they won't pay on a procedure without the proper billing code.
Hearing about this kind of executive skimming/insider trading makes me even more resolute to get every GD penny that UHC owes me.

I am also involved in litigation as a doctor misprescribed me meds in this case and my court case is in January 2010. By then I will have lost my house, work and had a middle class family reduced to welfare.

9. United Healthcare
Was the worst insurance that I ever had in my life. Having a chronically ill child....he sees several types of physicians on a regular basis. I always had to appeal nearly everything. His physicians all even wrote letters. It didn't matter....the appeals were always denied. :grr:
