Competitors question AIG moves; AIG denies accusation it's slashing rates to retain business.

NEW YORK-American International Group Inc. is increasingly the target of complaints from competitors that it is slashing rates to hold on to commercial property/casualty business, complaints the insurer maintains are unfounded.

Edmund F. Kelly, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Boston -based Liberty Mutual Group Inc., last week chided AIG during a conference call with analysts.

"AIG has intensified its efforts to increase its market share, or at least preserve it,'' Mr. Kelly said. "In fact, it's fair to say they are doing some very stupid things in the market.''

As a veteran on AIG, I believe this company should be liquidated. There have been plenty of AIG crooks who have been indicted and imprisoned, but the disease that is this company needs to be wiped out.

1. I have auto insurance with them

at least until January 9. After that, I am refusing to do any more business with them because of the irresponsible use of bailout, er, rescue money. They want to go to resorts that we can only see on TV or movies? Then they can do so on their own dime, not mine. They have some of my hard earned tax dollars, they do not need any more of my money.
