Message to President Obama
After this continuing epic raid on Congress and 30 years of the repeated and regular screwing of everyone but the top 10% of income earners, you need to understand something.

When this country goes broke, and its heading that way already, those people before will will have set up absolute class warfare. They will be rich, the rest of us will be screwed and falling apart. What this means to you is simple.

The Clinton administration aided and abetted the people who did all of this. Clinton's attempt at healthcare and military reform got shot down by Gingrich's Republicans, who have proceeded to spend 15 years lying, fearmongering and stealing their way to wealth the likes no civilization has ever seen. We are turning into modern-day apartheid, only in our case it's survival of the richest, where all of us are going to be subservient to a wealthy class.

You have a responsibility to stop it, sir. So here's the best solution - DO NOT HIRE ANYONE FROM THE CLINTON ADMINISTRATION. NOBODY. Not even Hillary. You need to hire people who will answer back for 30 years of screwing the poor to help the rich. That means liberals, sir. What we need now is Roosevelt, not Clinton. What we need is a president not afraid to tell the rich to pay up or we'll make you pay up. They are stealing form us, on a truly epic scale.

When you get into the White House, Paulson and Bernanke MUST be arrested for grand larceny, at the very least. Treason is more appropriate. Bush and Cheney should be told that if they ever open their mouths in public again they will be prosecuted. And you must tell the Republicans that after their disgracing the American government and trying to steal from all of us for them and their rich buddies, that the Obama Administration will do what it wants to, and if they try to filibuster there will be hell to pay.

In other words - no moderation. They won't moderate, they just keep fearmongering, hatemongering, stealing, making war, and demanding all of us make sacrifices to add to their offshore accounts.

If that's the way they want to play it, so be it. We have to play right back. Starting now.

In the Democratic party, Lieberman has to be shown the door. No hem hawing on that one - get rid of him, period. If he wants to sit as an independent for four years, fine. But he will NOT have a (D) next to his name.

Tell America's companies that they WILL pay their far share, one way or another. They can either employ jobs here or pay gigantic import tarriffs (50-100%) to pay for the costs of helping others. The rich will pay more taxes than anybody else, and we will not tolerate tax havens, either. We will rewrite the tax code, with no more exemptions. Help Americans, or we'll do it on your backs.

Get those jackass lobbyists off of K Street. Gone. Not restrictions or accords, ban them, for good. They are helping the wealthy screw America. Go get real jobs, you money-grubbing pigs. Fund all elections federally and limit any election contributions to $500, tops.

They are making war. Now, we make war back. If you want to go down as one of the greats, then you will do these. You will declare war on those who seek to destroy what we've earned and worked for. You have the government for four years now - go raise hell like nobody has ever seen, and make the GOP either wise up or get their sorry asses back to the boardrooms and backwaters.

You up to the challenge, Mr. President?

10. just to start with, you cannot ban lobbyists
there's a little matter of the 1st amendment.
Then there's your ludicrous demand that Paulson and Bernanke be arrrested for grand larceny.

You sound like a demented wannabe tyrant.

12. Paulson and Bernanke have ripped us off
On a scale unprecedented in human history. They cannot get away with it. Period.

The 1st amendment is about free speech, freedom of religion, freedom of press and assembly and the right to petition the government over grievances. How is it that lobbyists apply to this, especially since they quite openly and happily pay off politicians to do their bidding?

What do you propose to do about these? The lobbyists are a key reason America is as messed up as it is, and Paulson and Bernanke are stealing from us on an epic scale. We cannot tolerate this.

13. you really, really need to inform yourself
lobbyists are protected under the right to petition the gov't over grievances clause in the 1st amendment. And the SCOTUS has long affirmed that. I may not like it, but that's the way it is. And actually, I do like that NRDC and the Sierra Club and unions can lobby the gov't.

And sorry, just because you see Bernanke and Paulson as guilty of grand larceny, doesn't make it legally so.

7. I'm flattered
Seriously. Olbermann kicks ass. I must say I do like Rachel Maddow better, though. :)

But staying on the topic, the Republicans are about to spend their last two months in power robbing us blind. How about, after 30 years of their crap, we get four years to answer back, then see who America likes better? When the economy tanks, they'll blame Obama, and the people will buy it. Tanks badly, we get more Republicans again.

Why? Seriously, why? We'll have a chance to kick these crooks in the balls for four years and make a real progressive agenda. I do understand him wanting good people, but the last Democrat administration was more Republican-lite. WHY?

14. The last DemocratIC administration...
...was the only successful DemocratIC administration in my lifetime. I'm willing to let the Obama Administration get going before I start issuing directives (which Obama won't read anyway.)

11. One little picky thing.
In your first sentence, you refer to the top 10% of income earners.

Isn't that an oxymoron? What do the top ten per cent do to earn their income?
