Woman with butcher knife carjacks an SUV in Kansas City |
|
From this morning's K.C. Star:
Woman with butcher knife carjacks an SUV in Kansas City A woman armed with a butcher knife carjacked an SUV this morning, police said.
The woman took the 1997 white Ford Explorer at 299 Paseo at about 7:30 a.m. and drove south, dispatch reported. The suspect was a white woman in a pink shirt and tan pants, police said.
-------Who can blame her really, what with gas prices down to a buck fiddy here in town.

Lock the doors, roll up the windows(which due to cold weather I'm assuming that the windows were up), and drive away. Geez people. We're becoming a bunch of wimps.

2. Was the victim in the car with the engine on at the time of the car jacking? |

5. Carjacking usually implies that the owner was in the car |
|
As to whether or not the engine was on or not, I don't know. However I do know that it only takes a few seconds to lock the doors, start most vehicles and put the vehicle into gear, much less time than trying to hack into an SUV with a knife.
Sorry, but this just seems stupid to me, at least on the face of it. If there were extenuating circumstances, I'd sure like to see them.

A knife will cut right through that!
Especially in the rain.
