On MSNBC an interview with a spokesman from America deserves better
called out Democratic Underground as one of the culprits that have discredited
Sarah Palin and therefore they are paying for ads on TV to promote and thank her.

News Report:

"A political action committee called “Our Country Deserves Better” is raising money to air a series of TV advertisements voicing support for Gov. Palin. The group is headed by Howard Kaloogian, a California Republican and former state legislator.

All three versions of the ad — which are being streamed on the PAC’s website for now — feature group members complimenting Gov. Palin over her role in the 2008 campaign. Lloyd Marcus, a singer-songwriter and spokesman for the group, says to the camera, “Thank you, for the grace and dignity you showed even when some tried to smear and destroy you.”

Mark Williams, a conservative commentator, says, “We thank you for your passionate, hopeful and articulate advocacy of common sense, conservative values.”

During the presidential campaign, the Our Country Deserves Better PAC conducted “The Stop Obama Tour,” with a bus that traveled from the West to the East Coast to promote the Republican ticket.

The latest campaign includes a special Thanksgiving ad, which highlights Gov. Palin’s penchant for moose stew as an alternative to turkey."

When a right wing talk-show personality says this is just to say "thank you," it's time to grab your wallet and get out the hip boots.

No one but Sarah Palin "Dan Quaylized" Sarah Palin. She didn't know what the Bush Doctrine was when asked by Charlie Gibson. Other than Roe v. Wade, she could name a Supreme Court decision. Her idea of foreign policy experience is the ability to see one God-forsaken island in the Bering Straight from another about four miles away that happen to have an imaginary line running between them. She had a vague idea what duties the Vice President is given by the Constitution.

Come to think of it, we would never "Dan Quaylize" Sarah Palin. That's an insult to Dan Quayle.

I'm sorry, Mr. Williams, but I expect the Republican nominee for Vice President to be able to ace a high school civics exam, and I am convinced that Sarah Palin could not.

I don't know what your agenda is Mr. Williams and I don't care. If you want to spend millions of dollars thanking a loser without any qualifications for the office she sought, don't let me stop you. It's your money, after all.

In case you didn't notice, Mr. Williams, yours and Mrs. Palin's meme of the "real America" versus the "fake America" took a beating on election day. There appear to be about eight million more of us fake Americans than there are of you "real" ones. Yes, I am an American who voted to elect Barack Obama president; Barack Obama didn't buy my vote, he earned it.

Also, I don't recall any election where you ran for some office that gave you the right to set in stone what a "real American" is, let alone won that office. To paraphrase President Obama: There are no real Americans; there are no fake Americans; there are only Americans.

Presumptive Republican nominee held a press conference today in an attempt to ease the concerns of Republicans that he may be too old to handle the pressures of the office of President of the United States. He introduced Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska, who will travel with him on the campaign trail. Presumably, Mrs. Palin's role will be to replace Senator Joe Lieberman, whose past role included memory prompting and spittle wiping (when Mrs. McCain was not available.)

Mr. Palin, who works to further the interests of a foreign oil corporation, could not be reached to discuss what his role would be in what is being referred to as the "Benny Hill-style Presidency".

It's been widely reported that even though Palin came out against the federally funded, $223 million "bridge to nowhere," a wasteful Alaska earmark (and one she'd supported before it created an uproar in Congress), Alaska ended up receiving the same amount of federal money as transportation funds to be spent at the state's own discretion. When Palin was mayor of Wasilla, she hired the former chief of staff to Sen. Ted Stevens, the recently indicted dean of the Alaska congressional delegation, to lobby for the town (pop. 6,700)—which, as a result, wound up receiving nearly $27 million in federal earmarks over four years. As governor, Palin just this past February sent Stevens a memo outlining $200 million in new funding requests. Granted, Palin enjoys inexplicably warm relations with the secessionist Alaska Independence Party, whose founder's anti-Americanism, Rosa Brooks points out in the Los Angeles Times, puts Rev. Jeremiah Wright in the shade.
