Proposition 8 does not affect me.
But, if I moved to California and a proposition similar to Proposition 8 was passed, one that perhaps banned interracial marriage, then yes, I would be affected.
But there is some ridiculousness I see, that people are afraid of boycotts and what not.
There is a fear of reprisal, that supporters of Proposition 8 will see their businesses destroyed because nobody wants to do business with them because of that support.
It is your right to not buy things and to not do business with people you don't want to do business with, it isn't anti-Democratic or whatever.
The First Amendment protects speech and it protects assembly, I'm pretty sure not buying things from certain groups would be protected as well.
Seriously, who would want to do business with someone who wants to take away their rights?

1. No. I'm going to put a gun at your back and tell you where you must buy stuff from. |

And right now, I'm telling you that you MUST buy an internal flange compensator valve from a company that supported Prop 8.
