'Boston Legal' poised to end 5-year run

The conclusion of "Boston Legal" seems to reflect the current U.S. economic climate, according to information released by ABC Monday.

Due to financial difficulties, fictional law firm Crane Poole and Schmidt may be sold, as the show comes to a close after a five-year run with a two-hour series finale scheduled to air Dec. 8.

2. I loved the Practice, but Boston Legal was TOPS....

'Hate to see it end. It is one of the rare tv shows I watch with any regularity now (no cable for three years now).

I wonder if David Kelley plans a new show or if he is hanging it up after a pretty phenomenal run...

usually kelly starts a series and writes everything for a season or two, then it becomes a hit and he hands it over to a writing staff while he develops a new series. The old show goes to shit just as the new one busts onto the scene.
