3. Aren't they tacky?
For a second I did thank about getting one as a Christmas gift for a die-hard Republican. I almost thought that would be funny.

If you say The Daily Show, you'll notice that they were in such a hurry to make the plates, the back of that plate doesn't even the correct Electoral count. Its got 27 undecided.

beaded bamboo curtain factory making bamboo curtains that had the image of Lenin and Marx on them.

They looked like this but not as good.

24. Those were so awful.
I remember one that proudly declared it was made from silver recovered from the site, and another that had...pop up twin towers. Or maybe they were the same and my brain couldn't handle that much icky in one object and split them into two. Ugh.

I can't wait for the official presidential picture though. I have my granny's JFK picture. It needs a new frame. When the President Obama picture is released, I'm going to get one, and put him and JFK into matching frames.

19. Think of it as a quick IQ quiz
On the order of: What would you rather have, (A) money or (B) this hunk of Mount Crapmore?

If someone you know answers "B", then you'll know not to use big words or complex sentences around them. Oh, and type slowly when sending them an e-mail, because you know they don't read very fast.

I see in antique and thrift stores.

Funny but the other item I see all the time in thrift stores that makes me laugh is the Rush Limbaugh books. Every single store I go to with books, there they are.

"Black Velvet Commander Codpiece"

A sarcastic friend gave this to me as a xmas present a coupla years ago.

Don't have a place for it on my walls, though, so I keep it in a very hidden place.

29. You must not be the targetted market.
Different people will hold onto different mementos. I think it's a nice plate with a good picture of him.

A lot of people are buying the commemorative November 5th Washington Post. Is it really all that different?

Right now, I'm holding onto my memories, but I think I'll be saddened if I don't make a small scrapbook of this event in history - not for anyone else, but just for myself.

$20 isn't too bad for a ceramic plate with a nice pic.
