I've been forced to listen to his radio show a couple of times and.... gulp... he was pretty good at slapping down rabid Neocons and putting out a really progressive viewpoint. Of course it was just him by himself on his radio show. No Slant-Head. Still he was pretty good.

Also if you follow Newshounds there are dozens of times that Alan slapped down RW guests. He was outnumbered and usually cut short but he did try.
