What happened to the "under votes" in the Mn senate race? Prior to the recount ....

What happened to the "under votes" in the Mn senate race? Prior to the recount ....
the CW was that there was a large amount of under votes but now both candidates are down over 1000. I see a lot of challenged ballots but even with them the total vote count isn't getting bigger.

2. Most undervotes are due to people voting for the presidential but not the senate race.
These will not turn into more votes. The only additional votes that will show up are cases where the scanner did not register a vote but those involved in the recount were able to determine "the will of the voter". Most of these have been challenged so we will not know until they have all been reviewed. Another potential source of new votes is if rejected absentee ballots are deemed to be valid.
