Why Did Biden Support Hillary For SOS Over Kerry When Doing So...
Appears to diminish his own influence? Joe Biden, of course, has more foreign policy experience in the Senate then just about anyone, and he was chosen as VP in part due to his foreign policy expertise. So, why according to most news reports, Biden supported the appointment of Hillary over Kerry as SoS when doing so would appear to create competition for his influence on Obama regarding foreign policy?

Did Joe Biden think that Hillary would be a Biden ally and that they see eye to eye on foreign policy compared to Kerry? I really have not seen any analysis regarding why Biden supported Hillary over Kerry when self-interest would suggest that Obama should choose Kerry.

1. Is there EVIDENCE
that he supported HER over HIM?, aside from analysis why Joe did, or would do, such a thing?

Maybe he thought kerry would do well in chair position of senate committee?

Democrats close to the selection process say that Biden supported the choice of Clinton, preferring her over short-list candidate Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.).

Nevertheless, Biden is likely to want to keep his hand in foreign policy, Democratic foreign affairs specialists said. Biden has made it clear that he does not intend to be limited to specified projects, as former Vice President Al Gore was, but will remain free to dip in on a wide range of subjects.

all the players, and he knows what he's doing. EXCEPTIONALLY smart. His 'long' discussions are ALL SUBSTANTIVE, NO baloney.

7. They are all close allies.
You seem to think there is some great rivalry going on within the Democratic Party. All of those mentioned are quite close and work very well together. Hillary and Kerry both are extremely brilliant people and will help effect change in America in all arenas. Obama appears to be building a "Dream Team" of people that are extremely intelligent and experts in their fields and in total agreement with how the country needs a new direction and willing to work as hard as they can to help bring that about..Obama has continued to impress me greatly with his picks and his words.
