13. OK, I admit I had to Google "Chinook Hen" and I believe you Alaskans use that phrase to describe

a salmon? Is that a particular variety of salmon or a generic term for salmon? And is salmon considered a suitable turkey substitute in The Great White North? Or did the "Palin Pardon" video just gross you out?

Chinook is another name for the King salmon, a species once common up and down the Pacific Northwest Coast.
If Native foods are Thanksgiving foods, salmon should top the list in this coastal region.
