4. My Mom so loved that show and laughed so much at that episode
I will watch it and relive those wonderful memories of her-- gone now these many years, but never far from my mind.

:loveya: Thanksgiving blessings to all, especially those having a tough time of it. Somewhere know that someone is thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way..

Fat, domesticated turkeys, not so much.

19. Wild Turkeys fly very well.
Not sort of. Domestic fattened, bread for exceptionally large breasts, are capable of flapping their wings during a jump.

25. Smart, sneaky, FAST birds, too........
I remember thinking that if I EVER was successful in a wild turkey hunt (I wasn't, they're smarter than me), the sucker would've cost me the equivalent of $499.33 per pound.............

33. I saw one fly over my car while I was driving just last week
They don't fly often, but when they do, they can move.

34. Wild Turkeys make a lot of noise when they take off
They climb at a steep angle, then they glide almost silently for a considerable distance, depending on the cover.I don't hunt them but like to see how close I can get to them before they panic. There's a flock of a couple of dozen that come through our yard. They're surprisingly adaptable to human habitation.

18. We had wild turkeys in the branches of our backyard tree several times. The first
time I did not know what it was. They do fly. They are not overfed.

13. I remember watching this with my family.
My parents were laughing so hard neither one of them could breathe. Back then, my laughter was really a reaction to theirs. But I remember it like it was yesterday and I can't wait to share this with my kids! Thanks for posting this!

15. Classic TV
They don't make them like they used too. I loved that "turkey drop" episode. Cracks me up just thinking about it. More laughs, remember Lonnie Anderson speaking twelve languages a twist on the dumb blonde secretary?

30. I can't watch sitcoms. The canned laugh tracks eats my brain
If I need to be given a cue when something is supposed to be funny its not funny.

I have a father in-law who yucks it up like a goof ball anytime canned laughter comes on a TV. He don't even need to be watching the show. Big belly laugh too. I just shake my head.
