Mass Exodus from LA/Orange County today
Edited on Wed Nov-26-08 08:20 PM by itsrobert
If you are trying to get out by freeway tonight, Good Luck. Luckily, I was driving into O.C. 91 Eastbound was packed (I was driving westbound).

Californians love cheap Gas. Well, cheap compared to $4-$5 just a few months ago.

Maybe Las Vegas might have some business this Holiday weekend?

1. I paid $1.77 today...
had no idea how much it would cost to fill up the tank. I got sticker shock. I guess the oil companies made enough money, and were worried about seeing the use of their product decline.

2. Down to $1.97 here in the Valley. All I'm doing is the twice-a-year trek
up to Agua Dulce to have holiday dinner with friends. At least now I can afford the gas......

3. And San Diego...
The 5 was a parking lot at 3pm today. I don't like cheap gas out here because there is WAY more traffic and HUMMERS but it's nice that people can be with their friends and families tomorrow!

4. I was on the 91 East today! 3:45 p.m.
It was pouring rain, and it was a parking lot. All the way to Madison in Riverside.

It took me over three and a half hours today to get from Mission Viejo to Big Bear Lake.

It was an interesting drive though. Alternating between downpour, to sun, to a thunderstorm in San Bernardino, to crazy thick fog coming up the mountain. Now snowflakes are falling.
